Looking Back

Wow, it has been a long time since I posted pictures of customer quilts…. and I have lots of them!  I have been taking a little break lately – getting some book work done and trying to make my back feel better….. I found a chiropractor that’s not just snap, crackle and pop but lots of deep tissue massage and STRETCHES.  The stretches have made all the difference!  And standing up straight.  When your mother tells you to watch your posture, believe her.  Ok, now for some pictures.

I took these when I was packed up for the Vernon show at the beginning of October….. this is what my car looks like when I’m ready to go –

and here’s what my booth looked like with Glen’s quilt hung up;

Here is the Eye-Poppies quilt that Teresa made for her daughter and son-in-law.  He’s colour blind so she wanted to make something for them that he’d be able to see.  What a wonderful quilt!  The background is all made of creams and the Poppies where made up of different reds and blacks.  What fun!  The back was a wide black cotton sateen that we have here in the Quiltworx.  We’re expecting a bolt of white any day too.

These are Vicky’s quilts.  She has a real artistic eye….. and gorgeous fabrics.

  1. Are you sure you couldn’t fit in another thing into your car?

    I like how you chose to quilt the black/white quilt! And love the way your stitching showed up on the poppy back!
