Lots Going On

There’s been a lot going on around here….. I am hoping to catch up soon.   Here are some pictures of quilts that have gone home in the last few weeks…..

This is Joy H’s quilt, she hand pieces the stars and they are all different – not one the same in the whole quilt.  The back was done with strips of scraps too!  Very Creative.

This is Glen’s quilt.  He made it after being told that he shouldn’t critique a quilt until he made one himself.  So he put together this Lonestar.  He did a great job of piecing it and I had a blast quilting a design inspired by an Art Nouveau era wrought iron gate.

This is Lori N’s quilt.  The scalloped borders had another life as bumper pads on her grandaughter’s crib.  Now she’s a little older and helped pick out some more fabrics for a new big girl quilt.

This is Barb’s Sudoko quilt.  Rich colours and she pieced the back with luxurious flannels.  It was hard to let this one go home.

We also had some new fabrics arrive!   These are a few Batiks from Hoffman….. they really are nice.

I’ve been away for a few days checking up on my Dad, he’s not been well since before Christmas and has been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.  He’s had heart troubles for many years, so it’s not unexpected… I do hope that they can do something for him to make him a little more comfortable.  I may have to go again soon, if so, please bear with me.  Thanx.
