Saturday is Bag Lady Day

Yes, this Saturday is our first Bag Lady Day!  You are welcome to join us in the Quiltworx at 11am and see a short demonstration of this month’s bag.  The pattern is free this month and take a look at what’s on Sale!  We have about 80 bolts left as well as Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Kits and Wide Backs on Sale for 30% off until January 15th,2010.

If you can’t make it in this month, Bag Lady Day will be the second Saturday of each month for the whole year.  I am hoping to have enough bags finished by the end of the year that each niece will get one for Christmas this year and I won’t be sewing at midnight the night before!

Also Join in for the ONE MILLION PILLOWCASE CHALLENGE!  We are participating in the One Million Pillowcase Challenge here at the Quiltworx.  We are asking you to make pillowcases that will be donated to various local charities and we will run an event in the store every few months to say “Thank You” for your help.  The first event of the year will run March 15th through March 31 – Donate one pillowcase and receive 10% off your purchases that day in the Quiltworx.  If you donate two or more pillowcases you will receive 20% off of your purchases in the Quiltworx that day!  We are also looking for suggestions as to where to donate these pillowcases…. current ideas include our Emergency Shelter, the Safe Home Program and for next year’s Christmas Hampers.  If you have a great idea, please let me know as I am sure that our generous quilters will provide enough for everyone!

For more information on what the event entails visit the Official 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge Website for more information and pattern ideas!

You need to sign up and it may look like it hasn’t accepted your info…. but check your email and your sign in info will likely be there.  I will also have some copies of a couple of the patterns here in the Quiltworx too.

I look forward to seeing you soon!  And Classes are filling up, so take a look at the class schedule (there’s a tab at the top of the page) and see what intrigues you…..
