Finally some Quilts for You

I look back over the posts and see that I have not posted any quilts since the beginning of September, that was a month ago!

I only have 4 more to show you, between renovations and quilt shows and fabric arriving,  there’s not been much quilting done!

This is Elaine’s Land of Maples, it was her UFO she entered in the challenge for the guild.  There were about 20 of us that got roped into entering – “bring a ufo to the next meeting”(that’s an UnFinished Object). Then when everyone shows what they’ve brought, the coordinator says “ok, you have until September to get that finished.”  Elaine was one of maybe 6 that made progress and only one other person actually finished hers too.

IMG_1383IMG_1385IMG_1386We quilted maple leaves into the background and followed the piecing with a bit of a continuous curve all in Superior Rainbows threads.

This is Deb B’s quilt, actually it’s a project her guild is doing,  a variety of quilters made the blocks and Deb put them together and I did the quilting.  I believe the quilt will go to a Canadian Soldier.

This is Lorae’s Fairy Quilt.  It is for her grandaughter who’s not a “girly girl” so flowers were out of the question.  We added some magic ribbon swirls, butterflies and dragonflies.

This is Linda C’s Christmas Log Cabin for her daughter in law…. we put pointsettias in the all over pattern and followed the print in the border.

And peeking out behind Linda’s quilt was another one of Noeline’s quilts.  For some reason I didn’t get any pictures of it!  It was a gorgeous Jelly Roll quilt done with an April Cornell line, Victorian _____.

I am headed out to the New Quiltworx to put some things away – I did inventory last night!  Then I will do some new pictures for the “What’s In Store Page” as I have been quite neglectful of that and I have some before and after pictures to show you too…. I’ll take the “after” pics today.

  1. Elaine did it again, with another beautiful quilt! And your quilting on all 4 of these was fantastic, as usual!

Looking forward to seeing your new shop!
